Spirit of BC’s Altitude Youth Experience gives youth aged 16-18 a chance to get involved in their community, learn new skills and contribute to developing a community youth legacy in British Columbia. Two Nelson LVR Grade 10 students, Tia and Tyler Wright, participated in the program in Squamish on October 3-5th 2008 and will be working with the School district to promote the SportFit™ program.
SportFit™ is a sport education tool that promotes healthy, active lifestyles for students in grades 4 – 7. It is a complete resource that educators may tailor to meet learning outcomes related to health, physical activity and other subjects.
